Helping people achieve the best version of themselves is our greatest passion. Specializing in working with both individual adults and couples, We can help you work through many of life’s struggles. Most of us will experience something in life that we simply need support with including anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, career transitions and anger. We additionally enjoy a long history of helping couples and specialize in areas of marital difficulty and infertility. No matter what your struggle, you don’t have to navigate it alone!

Frequently asked questions

What is counseling or therapy?

Counseling is a collaborative effort between a counselor and client. Counselors can help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.

How long does counseling take?

Sessions will be 50 minutes in length this will allow time to complete payment and arrange future sessions. Longer or shorter sessions can be arranged with notice.

How much does counseling cost?

Much of this depends on if you have insurance coverage and if the insurance panel is in or out of network. Please call so we can check on your coverage for you. If you prefer to private pay for services or have a high deductible please see below :
· Individual session (50 minutes): $150 
· Couples or Family Therapy session (50 minutes): $175
· No show/cancellation within 24 hours: $100

Payment is due at the time of service.  Payment will be asked at the end of each session.  Acceptable forms of payment are: exact-amount cash or credit/debit card.  Clients will receive a receipt including any needed information to send in for insurance reimbursement upon request.

What is your confidentiality policy?

All information shared during counseling sessions is private and confidential.  We value your privacy.  We will not disclose any confidential information without your written consent to do so. Please be aware that there are legally mandated exceptions to confidentiality which include:
· Information shared involving immediate danger to self or others 
· Information related to the abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult
· Information from case files that may be subpoenaed by a court of law

I have been a mental health therapist since 2000. I specialize in working with adults age 18+ and especially love working with adults struggling with anxiety. I am experienced in treating the emotional affects infertility and reproductive challenges have on women and couples. I provide a nurturing & supportive environment that can help support people to create balance and wellness in their lives.

I truly believe that every person wants to be validated and heard. I provide a nurturing & supportive environment that supports clients to create balance and wellness in their lives. I want to help you to recognize and find the best version of yourself! I believe every person is resilient but sometimes needs help finding out how to bounce back from life. I can help you navigate your struggles with anxiety & worry and I want to share with you techniques you can use to create calm and in the moment support one day at a time

I have worked for almost 20 years with addictions and have helped many people struggling to heal from drugs, alcohol, food, internet, porn and gambling, etc. I am a CAADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) and a SAP – (Substance Abuse Professional). I work with individuals who are referred to me by their jobs after testing positive while working in a safety sensitive position and help jobs and individuals stay compliant with the Department of Transportation.

Types of counseling available

Individual counseling - a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Individual counseling can help one deal with many personal topics in life such as anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage and relationship challenges, parenting problems, school difficulties, career changes, grief and loss, infertility etc.

Couples counseling - Every couple experiences ups and downs in their levels of closeness and harmony over time. This can range from basic concerns of stagnation to serious expressions of aggressive behavior. Marriage counseling or couples counseling can help resolve conflicts and heal wounds. Overall, couples counseling can help couples slow down their spiral and reestablish realistic expectations and goals.

Family counseling - Family counseling is often sought due to a life change or stress negatively affecting one or all areas of family closeness, family structure (rules and roles) or communication style. This mode of counseling can take a variety of forms. Sometimes it is best to see an entire family together for several sessions. Common issues addressed in family counseling are concerns around parenting, sibling conflict, loss of family members, new members entering the family, dealing with a major move or a general change affecting the family system.
